…I see two reasons for signing NFL-cuts, assuming the team sees them as an upgrade at a position (obviously):(a) a player signed now could/would be “up to speed come playoffs”(b) players signed for 2023 and 2024 only have the “NFL window” to try out for NFL teams and get signed to a contract … unsigned players might be tempted to look for TC invites.

Here are more signings and it’s like you stated as well.

In signing this late in the season, these players are working early to make the team also next season.
