More trouble for this POS known for child beating in the past. Second DWI this year.
Indeed, itâs getting worse. We had a discussion about this in the NFL Rules thread two weeks ago.
Iâm not in on the push for it to be out just yet, maybe not until the 2027 season biased Eagles fan as I am, but I have figured itâs inevitable and that this is very likely to be the last season of the Tush Push in its current form, with modifications coming to the rules for all short-yardage situations.
The opposition to the play has only mounted already since the end of last season, including I figure now with some of the owners who sided with the Eagles to change their minds next spring for at least 24 of the 32 owners at hand to have the play banned and the rules modified.
Itâs going to be rough-going for the Vikings in Week 9 even if starter J.J. McCarthy, listed as questionable, makes it back.
The entire rest of the division can now simply beat up on the Vikings in their runs for the playoffs, assuming unlike those Bears on Sunday, they donât beat themselves up.
POS is right. Nearly 30 over while drunk - weâre lucky no innocent bystander got killed.
dont know about the usa, but drunk driving will always be a big issue with puny slap on the wrist sentences like this
Drunk driver sentenced to 3 years in prison for crash that killed 2 UBC students | CBC News
Itâs similar here.
Heâll probably do community service by going to high schools to tell kids âdonât do what I did.â
A Bears player did that at my school in the late 80s, then went out and got another DUI.
Well McDaniel has kept his job in Miami, at least for the rest of the season, although they fired their GM Grier. If you read the linked article you will see his record of futility and wonder why he wasnât let go long ago. I didnât think McDaniel would be let go if he wasnât two weeks ago and he is under contract until 2028, although I suppose the new GM to be hired will determine if he stays after the season.
With the trade deadline tomorrow, hereâs a move by the Eagles today that I do not like:
Phillips tore his Achilles in 2023. He tore his ACL in his knee in 2024. He missed 19 games via those injuries alone in 2023 and 2024, so that is more than one total season injured.
Sure, there are even sites like this one any more, but I donât like how this all sounds.
There is no doubt in my mind that those injuries both on his right leg are related, only 10 months apart, due perhaps to common muscle imbalance, or the slightly inferior condition of ligaments or tendons, even after the very best rehabilitation.
Especially here at the pro level of physical exertion at game speed as well, even a slight imbalance can lead to another serious injury or exacerbate even a minor injury.
âVery low riskâ? - no, I donât buy it, especially as indicated with a 23% chance, but the threshold is quite low for that bizarre statistic via âmissing at least two quarters.â
I would buy even moderately low risk, and I certainly donât like giving up a 2026 3rd round draft pick for him too. The Eagles gave away too much given the risk.
But hey, Eagles General Manager Howie Roseman made the call, and if Phillips helps the teamâs pass rush even if only for this season to win the title many games away, such a risky move in itself could be called a small win, with anything else in 2026 with good performance by Phillips as gravy.
Reading up on the list from Jaelen Phillips yesterday, hereâs is an analysis on the trades made on deadline day today:
Go figure, thereâs still a road back for Deshaun Watson in Cleveland!
![]()
But if you thought that last seasonâs poor showing and a pair of Achilles tendon surgeries would mean the Browns are through with Watson, well, you have not been paying attention. Watson is signed through 2026 and the Browns have little incentive to dump himâand now, 10 months after his second injury, he might well be on the way back for Cleveland.
[Browns beat writer Mary Kay] Cabot pointed out that Watson needs to pass some tests before he can even be eligible to return to practice, and those tests are ongoing.
âHe has not passed those medical exams yet and that has to happen before they open that practice window,â she said. âHe is going through those rechecks now. Maybe even this week, next week, not really sure. I have been told he is going through the medical rechecks and once he clears then they can make some decisions. But until then, they wonât even entertain it.â
Tragic story out of Dallas where 2nd yr man Marshawn Kneeland has apparently taken his own life at age 24 . He was a 2nd rd selection of the Cowboys in the 2024 draft and had just scored his first ever td days before when he blocked a punt and scored against Arizona on MNF .
Cowboysâ Marshawn Kneeland found dead of apparent suicide at 24 after evading officers, police say
yea brutal. more here
This is unreal.
Important note in the article:

This fact as reported is most telling. It suggests that somebody had foreknowledge of his mental health before this incident. I wonder what more we will find out?
(I will read the next article and any others posted too)
During the search after Kneeland fled the crash site on foot, officers said they received word that Kneeland might be suicidal.
Power rankings and questions at the mid season mark.
Although there is an old thread on this, I donât think it is worth reviving for this POS. The latest narcissistic, violent and illegal behaviour of one Antonio Brown:
Lock him up!
