Newfoundland full of raving Tiger-Cat fans

I'm here in Newfoundland visiting with some family, and since it is our first visit back in about a decade, we had a big family get together tonight. 8:30 Newfoundland time rolls around and I get my uncle to turn the game on. What do you know 5 minutes into the game a half dozen newfies are crowded around the TV right into it screaming for a Tiger-Cats win. By the end they are all confirmed Tiger-Cat fans, but are now saying how they want their own team. Now with Zenstate we have Tiger-Cat fans coast to coast!

Make sure they hate Toronto and love the TiCats!!
Also teach them the forbidden cheer.

Awesome! New fans are always great.

Thanks for the mention

Welcome aboard boys!! (and Ladies) Very Cool. A coast to coast Tabbie vibe, is great for our collective Karma. Oskie Wee Wee!

"The frontrunner to being granted a CFL franchise is Halifax, Nova Scotia. Already granted a conditional franchise in 1984—the Atlantic Schooners—the city of Halifax longs for a team. After "Touchdown Atlantic," which featured an exhibition game between the Toronto Argonauts and the Hamilton Tiger Cats, the city of Halifax seems to be able to want and support a team.

Other cities, such as Moncton, New Brunswick, Quebec City, and London, Ontario are also possible expansion sites. Moncton has already begun construction on a CFL-capacity stadium in hopes of luring a CFL expansion team to the city."

the east coast would have the best grey cup ever.
it'd probably start late nov and end new year's day.

Moncton, N.B.
thanks, i forgot about that.

Is it the Universite de Moncton Stadium? If so, it's slated for a capacity of 8,500, expandable to 10,000. That's just half of what they'd need for a CFL sized stadium. It may be possible but it doesn't sound likely otherwise they would have built a larger stadium to start with.

Of course, one Stephen Brunt would be an honourary member of that Cat cabal on The Rock!

Oski Wee Wee,

18500... close to Montreal's 20,000 or so..

Moncton has nowhere near the population to support a CFL team. If they get a team then Sudbury should get a team (yeah right). If I lived in Halifax I would be pist off that Moncton got a franchise before the beautiful, historic Halifax. Not to mention that Halifax has a population of 375000 and moncton is like 125000.

Given a certain radius ( I can't remember what it was) Moncton is the centre of a larger population than Halifax.
