A group of us in Toronto have gotten together to launch a new CFL fan group! Tired of not having a home base to watch CFL in the city, our short term goal is to establish venue(s) that will commit to showing games with sound throughout season. Beyond that, the sky's the limit! This is being deliberately set-up as a CFL and not just Argos meetup so that we can include Hamilton fans and western Canadians living in the city.

For those new to meetup.com, note that signing up for the group does not automatically sign you up for events; you'll still need to separately confirm attendance. Sounds great !! I'll join up.... but unfortunately that first meet up is not a good one for me as I have tickets for a show that evening. I look forward to other meet ups.
Glad to see fans doing things like this and taking matters into their own hands. I like the grass roots stuff, fans doing things for themselves instead of waiting for the team to do something and then blaming the owners for not doing enough publicity and marketing.

Hi everyone,
Come meet up with a great group of like-minded fans to chat about all things CFL. With the CFL schedule now released we're ready for our second meetup where we can brainstorm and pick dates for the coming season!
We've chosen Sunday March 6 at 3 pm to play a couple of hours of billiards near Bloor and Bathurst. The billiards hall is on the south side, second floor of 507 Bloor, just east of the intersection. At about 5 we'll walk over to Pauper's Pub (539 Bloor) for some half price appetizers and drinks.
If you'd like to come for one half of the event but not the other, just let us know. As always, the meetup group is open to fans of all CFL teams throughout Toronto![/b]
