No end of the season matchup between Sask and BC, and Cal vs Edm

Thats too bad, those are always good to watch cause they always have big connotations

Oh well we will just have to beat edmonton at the end of the year, on that damn field :frowning:

does winnipeg still get their last week bye??

Since they play the last game of the season against BC, obviously not.

...Bombers are in A...to put it mildly...a meat grinder in the east...I hope Doug Berry has Montreals playbook from last year....and that he knows all of the Dons little idiocyncracies....cuz thats what its gonna take.. to get serious in the east...mayyyyybbbbbee...the student will come back to haunt the master....Hamilton has vastly improved....Toronto is always tough....WE are improved ...should be VERY INTERESTING... :!:

Are there even byes this year with no team sitting out each week?

Yeah, but by the look of it, there are only byes every other week, with two teams sitting out each time.
The last week, for example, Hamilton and Calgary are sitting out. Both these teams have their last home game on October 15th, then end the season on the road against a non-division rival on the 21st.

...quite a schedule ...it seems for the first part of the season the Bombers and Als....will be living in each others back-yard ...getting to know each other real well.... and .we get to see Richard Karikari a lot...oh yeah... and his team mates...it's gonna be rough..

looks like the season of back to back games against the same teams. esp for cgy. i think i counted 6 back to back matches for the stamps. that must be a first.

Riders play BC 3 out of first 4, and BC and Calgary 6 out of first 7

thats kinda wierd, and really crappy. Well I guess we will jut have to hurt DD in the first game (just minor, enough for 2-3 games out) and then shut down Henry. All with an offense that is learning a lightly new system, and maybe will have a new QB (please)

Too bad about the Gades but now I have to reschedule my holidays for the new schedule so I can follow the Lions play in Alberta and Regina.

This schedule is just plain ugly. I understand that they were in a bit of a bind because of the timing and all, so I don't fault anyone, and I don't think anyone is going to get an advantage over the others. But it's ugly.

Looking at Hamilton's schedule, after the back-to-back pre-season games with Toronto, they open the season in Toronto. Then Montreal, Calgary, Montreal, Calgary, Montreal...and poof! we're done with the Stamps and the Alouettes. That's followed by back-to-back games with Winnipeg. Then Toronto, back-to-back games against Saskatchewan, and we're done with the Riders. The Labour Day back-to-back matchup against Toronto finishes us with the Argos. Back-to-back games against Edmonton finishes us with them before getting our first look at B.C. After a bye week, we finish up the season with a game against Winnipeg and one in B.C., then end on another bye week.

Yuck.

Check out my post under Who made the schedule

....I am disappointed with the last week bye.....it means my stamps will sit idle for three weeks waiting for the western final at McMahon........

Hey R&W, could be worse (much worse) - say they finished 4th instead of 2cd they would have a lot of weeks till their next game in the pre-season.

But, if you play it right and finish 3rd - only 2 weeks sitting idle - you could always hope for that…lol

Why didnt they put the bye in week 19 so no one gets the chance to rest or rust!

I don't know what the schedule was before, but I think they tried to preserve when the teams would have home games. I know the Riders have all of their home games on the same days as they did before, just different teams and a couple different times of days. Stadiums are scheduled for stuff is my guess why this happened, so I am guessing Ottawa was supposed to host a game on the last week of the year, hence 2 teams get a bye

That would make too much sense!

Well billy every game has a home team so it would be impossible to preserve home games

I know this. But think of this. Usually every week 1 team has a bye, now that is not so. Also Ottawa was supposed to have 9 home games, so if they take all the games that attawa was supposed to host, cancel those, and hold bye weeks on those weeks. On looking at the schedule, there are 8 weeks with a bye this year, so I am guessing that these weeks had some kind of correlation with the weeks Ottawa was supposed to host a game. Just a guess, really.
