New QB

So Ben Sankey has joined the Leos. I honestly don't
remember much about this guy. What does everyone else
think of this move?

Well, we do need a backup, and he has some CFL experience with Calgary.........

Wasn't he in Hamilton as well? I remember the name but not the stats. LOL

from the Vancouver Sun:

"A 30-year-old native of Chicago, Sankey signed with the Calgary Stampeders after graduating from Wake Forest University in 1999. He spent three seasons with the Stamps, during which time he played for current Lions GM-coach Wally Buono. Sankey enjoyed his best season as a Stampeder in 2001 when he passed for 1,255 yards and 14 majors."

"The 6-foot, 225-pound Sankey left the Stamps in 2003 for the NFL where he spent that campaign on the practice roster of the Houston Texans. He retuned to the CFL the following year with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and was on the Ticats' active roster for all 18 regular season games"

thanks for the info thedan8! 2001 was his best year....Hmmmmm....
