Congrats, Ted, and also condolences!
Seriously, though, keeping this place running is no joke. I’m sure you’ll be a great mod.

We have made a concerted effort to be as transparent as possible.
GG has linked the list of moderators, which has always been available. Thank you for that.
On top of that last July we posted a thread describing the moderator process and encouraging interested parties to apply, which is linked below. Not one person has applied. I have opened that thread again if anyone cares to comment rather than continuing to do so in Ted’s thread baby.

Hitemhard is no longer a moderator. We could use yet another moderator before the season starts and although not mandated, a member of the Montreal sub forum would be useful.
The “senior” moderator is Redandwhite, having been in that role for almost 20 years. Quite an accomplishment if you ask me. Guelph and Egbert also have been moderators for quite some time.
There is no hierarchy among moderators and all of them do their work when available with many more serious issues being discussed between them. Guelph and Egbert do most of their moderating in the Hamilton forum, but are not strictly limited to that. Further info can be found in the link.
I don’t think we can be accused of not being transparent, which makes it better for everyone on the forum.
It’s rather secretive, but I hear they have free membership at a place called the Mod Club, with its location also secret of course.
Mod alumni and alumnae also have lifetime membership.
I wonder if at the very least they get free strong drinks and lawful substances for any smoking preferences there, but nobody’s talking.
It has to be challenging at times, no doubt.
Congratulations @Tedtanium1976
New mod is a great choice. Congratulations
I for one welcome our new overlord.
I got that reference, Illinois, don’t worry. We’re all happy to toil in their underground salt caves.
you do know I wasnt serious, right?
Just wanted to make it clear to everyone that the moderator process hasn’t been a mysterious one since at least last July.

The link only works if you are logged in to the forum it seems.
Hey @Tedtanium1976 thank you in advance for your service! Ive always appreciated your positive presence, likes and comments. Thank you!
I hope you enjoy the enormous pay, continuous praise, and influence on football game outcomes that I’m sure are just the small perks of the new role
Congratulations
Congrats @Tedtanium1976 on your new post!
Coralling seniors is a tough go. So I wish Ted luck and never hesitate to rope me in - when absolutely necessary.
Sidenote: Best TV show now on-air about seniors and coralling seniors is ‘Matlock’ - starring the wonderful 76 yr old Kathy Bates as the female version of Andy Griffith’s original Matlock.
Good co-starring role by an old fella playing Bate’s husband, Edwin. He’s really good - almost as good as Bates who’s basically in a world of her own.
Breakout star is the young Chinese woman, playing a fellow lawyer in Matlock’s new firm. She’s unafraid to go toe-to-toe with the immortal Bates.
