Advised that close to half of the active roster is new,
head coach Charlie Taaffe said "It is what it is.
"We have very few guys who have been
here with this team three years.
We have a lot of first-year and second-year guys.
That's what we got.
They've worked hard and performed real well
and they're still learning about each other
and learning how to become a team.
"I like our team,
I think they are meshing well,
they're working hard.
But there is that process
of becoming a team and
we have a lot of new guys
who are just getting to know
each other."
The club will start the season with four quarterbacks.
Taaffe is uncertain at the moment which one
will be added to the practice roster.
They will also begin the season
with eight defensive linemen,
including newcomers Darrel Adams,
Marcus Lewis and Dominic Lewis.
"They're not veterans, so we really
don't have anything to hang our hat on.
We'll see how they perform," Taaffe noted.
