TKO’s Dwayne Eley is one of fastest football receivers in all of college sports. A former high school track star, Dwayne runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds. He currently works out on Long Island, N.Y., in anticipation of entering the NFL Draft.
Dwayne of Bowie, Md., was named Stony Brook’s Offensive MVP for 2008. He was the Seawolves’ top receiver this past season, chalking up 48 receptions for 697 total passing yards and a team high 14.5 yards average per catch. Dwayne scored six touchdowns, and had kickoff and punt return averages of 19.2, and 8 yards, respectively, in his senior year.
Dwayne was third in the Big South in receiving yards per game and fourth in receptions making at least one catch in each game that he played. In three seasons at SBU, Dwayne finished second all-time with 157 receptions, and third all-time with 2,062 receiving yards.
Dwayne was the Gatorade Athlete of the Year in 2005 for Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia while he was attending Ganzaga College High School in D.C. He competed in the 110-meter hurdles, 300 –and 400-meter hurdles, long jump and the triple jump.
