So the site will be down for the entire day… On the second day of free agency.
Makes about as much sense as scheduling no games on Canadian Thanksgiving.

But back up in time for Valentine’s Day.
The bigger question is how many of our compatriots will be unable to sign in under their existing name again. Same thing happened last time. My email address was still showing as the one I haven’t used in 7 or 8 years.
I’m old and change is a pain . I just don’t like the overall look of the page . I guess we’ll get used to it .
The free agent chart that I posted now looks like bad spaghetti .

I’m with you Pat, I don’t do well with change, I find navigation back to the main forum a chore.
I’ll admit, it is faster but getting around will take some getting used to
I don’t like change either, but am starting to get around on it
Click on the Ticat logo in the black bar at the top of the page and it will take you back to the main forum
wondering if someone can tell me how to get to the tiger cat forum do i have to go thru the cfl.ca page and go to forums or will they have access like before where you just went to the tiger cat web page and you could click on the forum. Let me know always interesting reading everyone’s thoughts
I find it easy to access the main forum. Just hit the CFL emblem at the top of the page.
@cflfanatic Looks as though you have to filter through the CFL forums first
Thanks for the reply, I think you are right
I agree, it will take some time to get used to. I already can’t seem to find where I can change how the replies are listed. I want to have them displayed with the latest reply at the top but cannot find where I can change this. Right now I have to scroll all the way down to the bottom to find the latest reply. Any help appreciated!
Try clicking on the “time stamp”. For your message I clicked on the 12m notation (which has now gone to 13m) and it took me right to it. Not saying it is the proper technique, but it seems to be working.
jim43bob, don’t know what I did, but I am suddenly jumping to the latest post. Did I maybe click on that “latest” tag at the top of the page? However, the post is not at the top of the page it is at the bottom, but I am going right to it. I’m going to click on the “latest” tag now, and see what happens.
Hi Palmer. I only see “Latest” listed on main screen listing all the topics. If I click on any of the topics all I get is the oldest at the top and still have to scroll to the very end to see the latest for that topic. Looks like something I have to contact admin on as I cannot see in my personnel preferences any where to change listing from latest at the top to oldest at the bottom. If you figure it out in the mean time, please let me know. Many thanks
Jim
well, i’m on 20+ forums, all with various forms of software, and this is a first for this style.
strange.
how do I go back to the Ticat’s forum without going to the CFL forum > TiCat forum?
edit: nvrmind.
need to click the tigetcats link at top, below the cfl logo.
jim43bob, don’t know what I did, but when I click on to a post, I go to the latest entry without having to scroll. The ‘counter’ thingy to the right of the page shows that I am at the bottom, for example, your last entry shows 12/14, hammertown_proud is 13/14, and then 14/14 comes up, presumably already counting my reply?
I have to confess to getting into pages and posts that I don’t know how I got to, and then not being able to return to. It is going to take some experimenting and exploring, I’m afraid! For example, I’m not sure I understand the quoting option, but read an explanation by someone, somewhere, but have not as yet rediscovered it.
It’s different. It’ll take some getting used to. I’m not worried too much about navigation, but I do hate the infinite scroll thing vs. standard pages. It’s fine for topics under 20 posts, but ones with 100+ it gets a little ridiculous trying to go through and find posts. The way I’ve been doing it so far is by clicking the post counter thing and then going to today’s posts. If I’ve already looked at a topic, it will go to the latest/new ones, but for topics I haven’t looked at it starts me at the top.
I did have to make a new account (previously CrazyCatLady, now just Catwoman) because I couldn’t remember which email and password I had used. I don’t really care either way though.
I’m a mobile user BTW, don’t know if that makes a difference with forum functionality.
All this white space wow! You would think we were struck by a white tornado overnight! Anyway, cluttered like Reddit is far worse but this is too much dead space.
Like many others, I don’t like it when a web site changes. I have enough new stuff to deal with elsewhere. But the old forum software was beginning to really creak. The problem transfering passwords may have had to do with the archaic data structure. This format does seem to have some advantages, but it took me a while to find them. Some comments:
Anyway, glad to be back!

Ugh. The change is horrible. Why can’t they improve it instead of making it worse?
I made it! Not a fan of the new format, doesn’t seem intuitive… however, in my experience, most people, including myself get accustomed to the new format after a while and probably by summer it’ll be second nature to us.
