WINNIPEG FOOTBALL CLUB ANNOUNCES HIRING OF OFFENSIVE LINE COACH

The Winnipeg Football Club is pleased to announce its hired Pat DelMonaco as their offensive line coach today. DelMonaco joins the Blue and Gold after a successful tenure at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in upstate New York.
Pat has spent the past six seasons at Rensselaer, joining their staff in 2003 as the club’s offensive line coach. In 2005, he became their offensive coordinator as well, a position he held for the next five seasons. In 2008, he helped guide Rensselaer’s offence to lead the Liberty League in scoring (29.8 points per game), passing offence (265.5 yards per game) and second in total offence (372.7).
He joined the Engineers from Hudson Valley Community College, where he coached the offensive line in his first two years and then the quarterbacks in his third and final season. Prior to his third year with the Vikings, DelMonaco was a graduate assistant with the offensive line at the University of Illinois.
As a player, the product of Sleepy Hollow, N.Y., played center at the University at Albany from 1996 – 2000, being named team captain as a senior. He captained the team as a senior. During his four years, the Great Danes posted a 35-7 overall record and won two Eastern Football Conference championships (1997, 1998).
“Pat is tremendous teacher of the fundamentals of the offensive line and we are excited to have him in our organization,? said head coach Paul LaPolice.
