New Cat Gibson's priorities are to score and have fun ... wh

If Printers was that bad he'd have been released. With his salary and production/health report card the last two years, no team is going to trade for him and he would be dumb to take a pay cut in his third year of his contract with no guarantees to be "the guy" and he is very well represented... So why not give him the same opportunity at camp that the other 45 or so guys are getting most of them didn't do any better btw? Porter has what six games under his belt and the next guy is a nobody. Might as well wipe the slate clean and let him come in and compete. If he won't make a difference, they can always cut him but that also means that even if Porter won the starter's job if he gets hurt then your making phone calls to Marcus Crandell or Mike Bishop...

What do you mean, ‘what things go bad’? You think other quarterbacks don’t have bad games every once in a while? And what you do expect them to do, happy dances while they’re on the bench waiting for the defense to get off the field? That’s not hiding or sulking, that’s just business as usual when you’re a quarterback.

You have no idea what you’re talking about, and it’s embarrassing. Please stop now.

Yawn.

Distinction between Printers and Calvillo during a bad game is with Printer's "A- type" personality he's still visible on the sideline, clapping, headset on, talking to coach and other QB-....might be genuine enthusiasm or it might not but the effort is there.

Then there's Calvillo who's quiet, introverted and sometimes sullen who often withdraws into himself , takes a seat on the bench and/or puts a towel over his head and often waves microphones away after a bad game especially the big ones. Losing Grey Cup 08 was a classic example and alot of Cat fans can testify seeing him do it in 97 when he was here.

I'm sorry if you 're taking it personally but that's just the character traits Calvillo has- don't worry he's still a good QB.

Calvillo faced the music after the '08 Cup loss, so I’m not sure what you mean by waving microphones away. He was there for the postgame interviews, and if you expected him to jump for joy that his team had lost, you have a weird idea of how pro athletes behave in defeat.

As for being on the bench by himself, he’s hardly unique in that respect. Most of the other QBs in this league are closer to Calvillo on the bench than Printers.

And incidentally, how has that infectious Printers personality helped your team? It must be nice to be able to look down on other teams from the height of all that Ti-Cat success. Every QB in the league should model himself on Casey Printers, because Lord knows a 3-15 record is what every team strives for.

Yawn… Its called “thinking, visualising, planning”. It means nothing either way. You keep talking about the 08 GC… They were beaten by a better team, three times I might add. Difference was better balance on offense and AC wasn’t calling the plays. Milanovich recognised it and they will grow from it.
