TORONTO — Nathan Rourke‘s journey to CFL stardom has been all but straightforward.
Stardom? He had one great half-season of football three years ago. Let’s chill until he actually lives up to the hype.
Exactly… he has only shown possible promise to be great but certainly ain’t anywheres near greatness yet.
He coulld eadily poop the bed this coming season and be foot note.
Or as many hope be on the road to becoming great. But one good season epuld sti) not prove he is great by any means
We need more positive stories in the CFL to assuage the negativity, punishment and discipline that is all too common from fans in this fine league. Too many Lemon, Kelly type stories. Fingers crossed Rourke lives up to his 2022 form. (That is, unless he gets injured, which is certainly a possibility, almost an eventuality. Without a quality backup QB, all the Betts, McInnis, and Allens of the world can’t help.) I choose to be hopeful this will be a great year for the Lions and the CFL. The league can only benefit from the likes of Nathan Rourke.
Totally agree but we also have no need to make stuff up. Nathan has to prove he he good before we should call him great dont you think
I don’t expect journalistic integrity from a CFL.ca website, when their goal is to promote their own videos and get clicks. Under normal circumstances someone has to win multiple championship to be called “great”. Nathan hasn’t beat Winnipeg yet so he has a ways to go.
Since Rourke didn’t become a starter until 2022, perhaps Toronto would be a better measuring stick .
When you’re climbing a mountain and can’t get over the easier hump you don’t compare yourself to the peak.
Totally. CFL journalism is homerism to the league and feel good stories on steroids.
