I does look like C.J. Beathard will be the backup for Lawerence and Rourke #3 but we know how things can change fast

Receiver let him down
“The second interception came from undrafted rookie cornerback Kaleb Hayes, who made an instinctual play to come up with an interception after a Nathan Rourke pass went through Kevin Austin Jr.'s hands. It was one of the first passes all camp that Austin didn’t haul in, and Hayes made him pay for it”

I think he’s got a solid chance of being the number 3 guy
Plus the fact that the Jags have only 3 QBs in camp

I wish him well but that small part of me hope he fails so he comes back to play in the CFL; we haven’t had a Flutie type QB since the original, we need one. But I knew he wouldn’t be in the CFL after the way he dominated last season.

“The Jaguars carried three quarterbacks for all of last year and have only three passers in training camp, which could be a positive sign regarding Rourke’s chances of making the final roster.”

The sound you just heard was a heavy porkypine sigh.

This guy ain’t coming back to the great white north… He is what the big kahunas down in the NFL like to call COACHABLE

And even if he does come back, he’ll be a free agent, open to the highest bidder. He looked so damn fine in orange.

Coming back he will go to Toronto… I hope Riderville but that’s a pipe dream

He really lucked out going to the Jags, they only carry 3 QBs and he’s guaranteed to make the team as the number 3.
Lawerence, the starter is young and first round pick in the 21 NFL draft, he will be around for many years.
The number 2 guy Beatithard just signed a $2Mill contract and guaranteed to be the backup.
Rourke is guaranteed to play in the pre-season.

If he shows good in preseason there will be teams that will want to trade for him. At best it will two or three years before he knows if he has a real chance to start somewhere in the big show. I wish him luck. He has the skill set. Here’s hoping he makes it.

Any word on who he was training with before rookie camp?I would imagine he was someone who not only helped with the usual QB stuff but also the mental game involved
