64 Billion Dollar Question

Will Zack catch Nathan in top performer points

I'm thinking not likely. Rourke stands a fair shot at being the leader in efficiency rating as well. It took 3 weeks for MBT to finally catch him in passing yardage total. If you add rushing totals to the tally MBT is still behind.

It could be close if Zack get 2 top performers of the month.

Well, at just after 2/3 of the season, my revised ranking is thus

1 - Rourke
2 - Maier
3 - Collaros
4 - Fajardo
5 - MBT
6 - Harris
7 - Shiltz
8 - Dane Evens
9 - Mitchell
10 - Cornelius

Are you using a tunnel coin flip for your revised picks?

I am not going to comment on your picks overall or make my own, but will comment on some of the movement.

I’m not sure how Maier gets to be second when he just lost to Adams, a QB that hadn’t played in forever and that was making his first start for a new team and isn’t even on your list. Maier’s failure to win last night probably cost Calgary any shot at second place. I still like Maier and much prefer him over Bo but just don’t think he is the second coming just yet. Zach didn’t win either yesterday but his body of work this year should deserve at least a #2 ranking and he did also beat Maier head to head.

I don’t see how Fajardo doesn’t fall from #4 after losing to the worst team in the league and putting a crossover berth in jeopardy. Granted his team is a mess and lacks leadership from the top down, but isn’t he supposed to provide some leadership?

I’m not a huge fan of MBT and only a lukewarm fan of Harris, but I point out that since your initial rankings they have led their teams to several wins, especially recently. So why do they both fall in the rankings from where you had them before, even if they were ranked too high before?

If you are not going to have Masoli on the list, presumably due to injury, then why have Schlitz?

I would also disappear Bo and give a little more love to Cornelius.

I do not go by team wins and losses. I go by QB performance.

Maier has played very well IMO. He has played just enough games to be included and has very good stats. He is second in both effic and % to Rourk. His TD/INT ratio is even better than Rourks

Schiltz has played in 8 games which is twice that of Masoli.

MBT and Harris only fall because of the rise of Maier.

Cornelius shows good promise but has a ways to go yet

Bo is still there only because no one else has passed him

After last night's performance I'd place Dane Evans ahead of Cody Fajardo in your rankings. I'm going to assume that what we saw in Hamilton was no fluke.

you may be right. There is still a need for consistancy

That's just it. What if next week in Montreal Hamilton's O-Line bails again and leaves Evans running for his life?

I do not go by team wins and losses. I go by QB performance.

I would have thought that wins were the most important stat for a QB, the most important player on the team. If you don’t factor that in then I suppose you can justify any ranking you want, as long as you pick the right stats to focus on.

I also use my eye. What I see as they play.

I do get the eye use thing. I do that myself as do coaches. Otherwise we could all just let the testing combines provide stats and order players like off a menu.

After Week 15

Cornelius is moving up the stats rankings. Collaros jumped over MBT for #1 in passing yards. Adams Jr had a strong start in BC, but is still outside the top 10.

Stats are nice, it offers lots of debate. Super models are also great but like stats, they are not useful if you cannot play them. Rourke is wonderful but unavailable just as KK is wonderful but unavailable ( to me)

what is your bottom line?
