More “touch down” neutral sites

We should start a go me fund. I figure we will have enough money by the turn of the century

It’s not just Reginans attending Rider games at Mosaic Stadium. The Riders draw fans from throughout the province. Give or take a couple of percentage points, it’s pretty evenly 1/3 Reginans, 1/3 Saskatonians, and 1/3 just about every other dot on a map of Saskatchewan.

I grew up in Saskatoon and currently live in Prince Albert, SK, a 4.5 hour drive from Regina. I go to a game or 2 a year, and I know several season ticket holders that live here as well, that do go to every game.

Saskatchewan is not big enough for 2 CFL teams yet, and it’s pretty engrained in Rider Nation to make the pilgrimage to Regina to support the Riders. Every second year, Saskatonian Rider fans enjoy getting a sneak peek at the team coming together at training camp, but for game day, we all happily make the trek down to Regina. The drive back might not be quite so happy, but that’s a whole other discussion.

Yes and i’m sure regina’ans would return the cause if it came about.

If Sask. had ten home games out of eighteen, before the ‘touchdown game’ announcement, would that go over well in the community?

In other words, there would always be at least nine games at Mosaic with one additional game at a neutral site of sorts

Oh I’m sure they would love that in Saskatchewan, but sorry, I don’t see any other teams wanting to play in that extra and tenth home game for the Roughriders. That’s not a “neutral” site as you contend, including for reasons as the provincial resident explained above.

You have failed miserably again.
