do it in Germany!! they are great fans of football, they support their Football Teams, they have a League aparte from European League

Choose a year in which the NFL does not play there, ask Air Canada for discounts on tickets, put the players in airbnb or cheap but comfortable places in good conditions, maybe can be even achieve a collaboration with the stadium so that it is not so expensive the rent

maybe TD series is not about CFL team expansion, but could be for market expansion

I mean the whole cfl 2.0 global combine thing already has the league traveling to Europe and stuff…to be a devils advocate i cant see why not use the combine guys for a demonstration 3 down game while there and try to recoup some costs

Jon, I am with you. I wouldn’t go across the street to watch Taylor Swift even if they were giving away free beer…OK strike that last part.

Whoa - Taylor fans favour “The French Blonde” but, if you must, you can get away with a “French 76”, Pomegranate Martini" or “Bellini” (I prefer the slushy ones myself). I believe you may be able to get a wide range of fruity ales.

Get with the program, will ya???:grinning::laughing:I suspect a lot of you are fruit beer guys - and that’s ok. Shhh - no one has to know.

I agree, the CFL could build some prestige, for to long its been bullied by the NFL, the NFL markets its SB winners as " World Champions" but there in only one other league the CFL, they use CFL stars as “last cuts” or send them to the PR, this is intentional to lift the prestige of their league. If the CFL had the Argos play another CFL team in a city in Europe, and had it well promoted it would lift the prestige of the league.

CFL isn’t about prestige. Prestige is Taylor and her boyfriend. I’m not into prestige.

This prestige for CFL would be kinda nice

No, I dont mean a media circus, who perhaps the courting couple are really victims of, But the CFL gaining proper status, The league and the Canadian rules.

The CFL doesn’t promote things well though. They most likely looked at the expense of such a thing, noticed the lack of suitable stadiums and passed on the idea.

or maybe something like a Champions Game between GC winner and European League Champion!!

If you are going to have a lot of Touchdown Atlantic games each season, create the travel-only team Atlantic Schooners. The Schooners would always be one of the two teams in the Touchdown Atlantic games. Outside of that, the Schooners play on the road for all of their other games until a suitable stadium gets built.

If you can dream it, you can do it

CFLPA wouldn’t be happy about that. I don’t see it happening but stranger things have happened.

They should do a game in Brandon, Manitoba - a Bombers-Riders game specifically. I know this is likely a non-starter, given how those games draw huge crowds and make bank for both teams, which would lead them to frown on hosting one in a city where they could accommodate only 10-20% of the 32,000+ that attend games in Winnipeg/Regina (Brandon University’s stadium is pretty tiny, and would have to get expanded, temporary seating to even get 5,000 people in there), but I still think it would be good to reward the city’s Bomber fans with a home game of their own.

More realistically, Saskatoon might be an option, for similar reasons - at least there, you could host 10,000 fans (which is pretty typical for the “Touchdown” game series).

They have the option of pre-season if they want to take it. More likely to get a visit in the form of combines, sadly.

If that’s the case then they might as well play in Halifax rather than being a road team

But why would the Riders play in front of 10,000 fans and give up the revenue of playing in front of 30,000 fans? They would also have to pay for the temp stands, press boxes, porta-toilets etc
And same with the Bombers, why play in Brandon in front of 10,000 fans and give up the revenue from 30,000 fans and all the extra costs

Either city is a good idea for a preseason game

This is a silly semantics argument, but I don’t think Doman made more money than if the game were played in BC Place (i.e., his pockets were not lined).

I would like to see more of these, like in the Okanagan, but like someone else pointed out, annually is probably not a good idea.
