I wonder if we can have some dedicated off-season threads so that we don’t have multiple threads over the next several months drifting into the same discussions. Sometimes that is unavoidable, but we have had some really good focused threads this year that I certainly enjoyed.
I was thinking one for free agency (we could use the current “Hamilton Tiger-Cats 2024” thread for that one, Keep the 2023 EDSF Witches “Pathetic Season” one going, maybe a new one for the lively debate “Are the Ti-Cats a successful organization?”.
Any other thoughts or suggestions? Definitely one dedicated to Coaching / O’s future. Obviously there won’t be limits but it would be nice to keep some threads focused.
Good idea. I would be happy if all the Burn/Kiss threads for this season, as well as the PBP threads, be locked. They tend to re-hash the same arguments anyhow.
Maybe dedicated threads for Coaching/Front Office/etc, Free Agency/player moves/etc, and the “2024” thread as a catch-all - since it pretty much IS anyways.
Discussions are organic and evolve, but it would indeed be “tidier” if they could stay SOMEWHAT on-topic. Not sure how to “enforce” that, however.
Well intentioned, but hard thing to do I think. We have a small community of frequent posters discussing a football team. Most conversations are going to cross pollinate.
