MOP Watch: Steinberg's picks

Week 1 is in the books and it gave us numerous standout individual performances to start a brand-new season. I have a feeling our 2023 MOP Watch will be dominated by Zach Collaros’ drive for three in a row and his performance to kickoff the season only added fuel to that fire.

Refreshing to see BC Lions players getting some love.

No denying Rhymes is an excellent receiver and one of the reasons BC fans had no reason to fear Burnham’s retirement.

Lokombo played very well too. It wasn’t all poor play by their opponents in the first game.

Apparently no eastern player will be an MOP candidate this year? OK.

I think he trying to predict possible MOP winners.

And honestly, between all 3 east teams that played, Montreal’s Austin Mack and Ciante Eveans were about the only Major standouts, to me at least.

Who would you add from East to this list?

Ottawa’s defensive linemen were pretty impressive. But I also feel that trying to predict MOP winners after one game is kind of pointless, I guess.
