Saw a post on Reddit talking about this a few days ago.

Seems as though there were several women speaking out about Oakman. Saying he was aggressive towards them and apparently he threatened to send inappropriate videos to a woman’s child.

What a creep.

Wow, I hope the usual defenders of jerks don’t show to say the WONEN are untruthful

Yeah not a pretty situation here. Threatening to send explicit images to a minor?

Yeah, a creep indeed

How could anyone see this coming?

Another candidate for the Hall Of Shame. This memory will be his legacy.

The Als have released him too. Not wanting this to linger this playoff run nor in the off season.

For those that may not know…

This was exactly the reservation I had about signing Oakman this offseason. Loved the signing from a talent standpoint, disliked the man. Was hoping his issues were in the past but clearly not.

Huge blow to our playoff chances tomorrow but that’s secondary. Good riddance to Oakman. We can’t have a player like this on our team.

You’re better than those with rose coloured glasses that defend this stuff when it’s your team.

Makes Chad Kelly look like an angel. Chad didn’t involve a minor. I hope those that castigated Kelly do the same and more to Oakman.

Well at least you got Lemon dressed for the game . Having an upstanding player like him in there should soften the blow .

That’s idiotic. He made one mistake three years ago on a bet. He hasn’t abused women or minors.

Correction… He got caught one time.
Never met a person who bets on sports that just placed only a single bet in their life.

Absolutely correct . You can bet on that . :money_mouth_face:

You can only judge what has been caught. Otherwise, we are speculating.

Harassing and abusing women >>>>>> one dumb bet on himself that didn’t affect the outcome

And he has served his suspension time. So enough. I have no issue with Lemon.

Oakman, on the other hand, can take a twelve-step walk off an eleven-step pier as far as I’m concerned.

Good!
I’m, of course, still rooting for my Bombers tomorrow but if we lose, I’m glad it’ll be to a team that does the right thing.

And if you believe that I need you on my jury.
That is like saying and believing Trump only sexually abused and asaulted only the women he was legally found to done in civil court

I don’t know what to tell you. Players gamble all the time, yes. They find underhanded ways to do it, yes. It’s probably a lot more widespread than we think, yes. But scapegoating one guy for one bet four years ago is absurd and hypocritical, particularly with all the gambling encouraged by the league on games. If there had been more violations, the investigation would have turned them up. But even the prosecution found only that one case. Lemon has already served the longest suspension for gambling in the CFL. His career is basically over. This game tomorrow is likely the last time you’ll see him on the field. He’s made his public apology and served his time. He’s obviously not gambling now. Moving on.
