It is 90 minutes until game time and I don’t see a game thread and have given up on a site generated thread appearing so here it is and have at ‘er. Should be a good game. About 27 degrees (over 30 with the humidex) and fairly muggy in Winnipeg right now with possible thundershowers this evening. A typical Winnipeg summer day. All media was interrupted in Winnipeg about 4:00 this afternoon by a severe storm and tornado warning for parts of Western Manitoba but there is no tornado warning for Winnipeg, unless the Bombers somehow manage to dress Charles Roberts. Let’s hope any storms bypass the city and don’t delay the game. Looking good outside at the moment.
Just finished BBQ’ing and just in time, rains coming down pretty hard
Wasps have picked up their angriness last few days too!
No rain in the south end of the city so far but I can see dark clouds to the north and north east. I’m about 8 kilometers due East of IG Field. After not storming for a while I really hope we don’t get hit tonight.
The last MTL-WPG game was a wet one. Hope this one isn’t.
This is the sky to the Northeast and East:
The lighter sky is West with IG Field directly in line 8 km’s away. It looks like it will be hit and miss but right now it’s good so start the game already!
Damn. It might be a long night.
I was at the game a few years ago, also against Montreal I believe, that was delayed a few hours and finished real late.
We just got hit pretty hard here (North of the City), but it moved thru pretty quickly
Wind picked up bigtime and the rain poured down! No big damage thankfully…
Radar looks good for the game thankfully, but these convective storms pop up out of nowhere and can join togther pretty quickly, so it can and will change.
There will be some stuff to the South, so hopefully it stays there.
I was pretty sure you were north. I am south and the exact same latitude pretty much as IG Field.
It’s going to be hit and miss unless there’s a massive storm.
It looks like the game will start late based on Arnie’s post 45 minutes pre game as fans not allowed in seats and presumably the players aren’t allowed on the field. The storm will have to pass and then there will have to be warm ups. Hopefully I’m wrong. If there has to be a delay better that the game starts late than it is interrupted. Nothing worse than gamus interruptus.
Yes, that one took forever to resume and finish. One of the longest delays in a cfl game, I think.
There was the one (home opener?) that took place the same night as the NHL Draft that Me & a buddy went to…stayed for the long delay and the 50-50 just kept climbing!
There was also a long delay at a game on Fathers Day, or maybe the day before about 4 years ago.
I’ve got the day off tomorrow so pizza and beers it is!
Pizza arrived just in time!
LOL at those head to head stats for Zach vs Fajardo
Zach 8 wins 17 TDs 5 Ints
CF 0 wins, 1 TD and 8 INTS
LOL, Milt just pointed out the disparity too
Weather alert has been lifted! Players are back on the field.
Go Blue!
Looking forward to a Montreal victory tonight. Hope Fajardo is on his game if he starts. But I’m sure Oliveira will have something to say. No doubt his pre-game workout included flipping those mega monster excavation tires like tonka toys.
If there is a rain delay let’s hope it is brief.
Shoot. I was probably going to miss the second half anyway since I get up so early.
Woohoo! Game on!
