Montreal at Hamilton Game Thread, Week 4, Friday 27 June 2025

Well there are already two spicy game threads in the team forums, so I will go ahead start here the general game thread so that the rest of us can also avoid some of that smoke and furniture burning in them and whatever else they are burning tonight.

Here is the CFL+ information for those watching outside of Canada, including in the United States.

I hear we will be treated to somebody new in the TSN studio too, or perhaps punished, but I am not sure.

Enjoy the game.

Big Luke Willson joins the CFL TSN Panel for Friday Night Football games throughout the season. Looking forward to the game of the week from The Big Hammer in Hamilton.

I’ll chat here during the game - first home game I haven’t attended in two years. Ticats chat game day thread will be firing someone within the first five minutes of the game probably! LOL! They can be such Debbie Downers! Or Donnie Downers.
Hoping for a miraculous Ticats win but I won’t hold my breath.

Welcome. As noted, you can avoid all that smoke here and be safe too, but all the same, please note that the smoke from all the grills and barbecues of course is okay and does not count, except for good eating.

I’ve blocked one Debbie ā€œGIGā€ Downer too.

Its early but this is a huge game for the ticats. Must win.

It’s Wynton McManis on the panel.
Luke Willson remains on the sideline.

Has TSN ever before used a CURRENT season’s player, during the playoffs once a team’s season is over does not count, on the panel?

I do notice that McManis is on the one-game injured list, so I suppose that’s how it’s even possible two days before the Argos play?

Techinically it’s not because it’s early in the season BUT there was so much talk during training camp and preseason about starting fast, so they don’t want to collect too many Owens . Not an easy test against the Als defense, because our offense has been a bit inconsistent so far but any thing can happen.

Hey, is that right in Hamilton tonight, the heat index is a whopping 36C!?
:exploding_head:

Even the temperature of 26C is hotter than here in Philadelphia tonight, which is uncharacteristically cool.

As ol’ Rod Black used to say in his intro,
ā€œā€¦SULTRY night in Hamilton, Canada, and those of you watching, in the United Statesā€¦ā€

Hamiltpn is stopped by the MontrƩal D

And they were just stopped easily on a 3rd and one by that defence. Jeepers!

And Als go 3 and out

Apparently that something that they are going to do this year - using current players who are available from time to time.

May I ask why you aren’t going to the game tonight? I assume you have season tickets.

And score a rouge

Be a tie after this series.

Yup - it’s not too often that Litre doesn’t come up with those yards. However Als are off the field too , albeit with a point from that punt .

We’ve done full season for the past two years, but we also travel from out of town and the travel up and down the 400 on weekends during the summer as well as the extra costs of hotel (we don’t feel like driving home after the games) is becoming a bit too much. We’ll be going to half the games this year. We were at the home opener two weeks ago. Good game - wrong result of course!
