Game starts in just under an hour. Given last night’s results the game now has unofficial pre season status, as does the game following. As a result I am only mildly interested and probably won’t watch much. But for those who are interested have at ‘er.
Looks like the starting offence is dressed. There are some changes on defence though. Tony Jones is starting MLB and Brodrique has moved up to second on the depth chart behind him, probably so he gets some playing time for evaluation. That moves Makonzo to where he will likely be next season at SLB.
Franklin in at Safety, with Taylor behind him - likely the same as Brodrique. They plan to play him to evaluate at the end of his first season.
Offence is pretty much what it has been except Mitchell moves in to SB on the right and Cobb as SB on the left.
I expect Edmonton will play full out except if they want to evaluate a player or two which I think you are suggesting.
Montreal had to set their game roster if I’m not mistaken prior to yesterday’s games so didn’t have the opportunity to dress a bunch of newbies. I would look for them however to sit many starters as the game wears on.
Although I picked Montreal in the pool I did so in conjunction with picking Hamilton. As I was wrong on that pick I expect to be wrong on this one and now think Edmonton will win.
With the CFL salary cap and roster there is only so much teams can do in terms of sitting starters and dressing newbies.
Yeah no doubt but they can still play back ups extensively.
And for the Elks many of those guys are on defence.
I would also expect the Elks to be a little looser and more relaxed with no pressure to win this week.
Ford is just fun to watch. As he gets better at escaping the rush he leaves Linebackers in no mans land - which ever you cover run or pass, he takes the other option.
Since they rebuilt that south end of the stadium and put in the field house judging wind like today out of the SSE has been difficult. Both QB’s have overthrown guys in the south end of the field today.
Beverette got kicked in the jewels there…
Moore 3 for 3 and two touchdowns on the day. I could not understand why the Riders didn’t want to keep him.
First time I’ve seen Tre Ford outrun by a 300 lb guy. Montreal scoops and scores on a Ford fumble with less than three minutes left in the half. 21-17 Edmonton.
I haven’t seen much of the game but maybe the second half will be a good one.
JAMES LETCHER IS HERE!
Bigfoot sighting in Edmonton!
…and Montreal isn’t winning because of their offence. Suits wondering why Fajardo is still playing but it’s pretty obvious why to me. You are not winning a semi final playing like that.
Don’t know anything about Moore personally but tuned back into the game just as he was being interviewed before the start of the second half.
What a nice and pleasant young man. He was nothing but positive and upbeat and clearly was just happy to be playing football for a living. We can never have enough of that type of attitude.
It looked like the Elks were running all over the larks early in the game, but the visitors have gained the upper hand and are definitely not interested in giving it up as they near the end of the 3rd quarter. Not much scoring this half so far.
Yea, a stark difference from the game last night(?) where the BC Player cussed out the camera man + fans watching after scoring a TD.
Need more like Moore
Ah so Cote is “injured” for a second week I see. Good for Maltos. Hope he can turn things around here
#68 (Lestage) on MTL is EJECTED!
For Spitting.
Followed by a Fajardo pick. Edmonton with good field position This one isn’t over yet.
I cannot believe there is only 3 more weeks of football holy smokes am I ever sad about it
Well this one’s all but in the books.
Next game starts in about 15. Watch at your own risk.
But Micah Awe has yet to be tossed from a game this year.
What a joke.
And Cody wins another one, that’s 10 so far.
