Momentum builds in Hamilton
Published Saturday June 25th, 2011

The Tiger-Cats had their second consecutive year of record team revenue in 2010. Their 19 per cent growth rate in total revenue from 2009 included gains in season tickets, casual tickets and corporate partnerships and their merchandise sales went over $1 million for the first time in franchise history.

Hamilton is looking to build on that and show improvement on the field in 2011. It will open the regular season by hosting the Winnipeg Blue Bombers on Friday.

"We're sold out in our stadium with corporate partnerships," said Tiger-Cats president Scott Mitchell. "We're above 90 per cent renewed rate for season tickets which beats the industry standard. We've got more than 1,000 new season tickets.

"We're by no means sold out in terms of tickets for every game, but we're making great progress. We have plenty of reasons for optimism both on the business side and with the product we're putting on the field."

That’s great news!

Good find Grover!
