MMQB: Analyzing all nine teams at quarterback

Every once in a while, we have to focus the Monday Morning Quarterback on the position in the name. And, knowing the quarterback carousel has been spinning since before free agency opened in February, now seems like a good time.

ASTOUNDING … no team has a problem at QB

Oh well we shall see off the field what comes down for Kelly.

It just feels like for this season, beyond the improved player pool, so much is lining up better for better overall play than for about the first half of the 2023 season.

QB depth actually looks pretty good for every team except maybe the Riders, where if Harris gets injured again, they have Fine, who wasn’t fine last year, and Pipkin, who has never lived up to the promise of his physical skill set.

Adams is adequate at best, and we don’t have a good backup if he goes down.

Now if only Rourke came back, we’d have the #1 QB in both leagues

I don’t understand the reasoning for keeping Not-So-Fine over Dolegala, if there was any reasoning.

It seems baffling on the surface, but we’ll never know the whole story. Possibly Dolegala priced himself out of SSK’s range. Or maybe Mace and Mueller genuinely believe Fine has more upside.

Actually I would say that the Argos are worst off when it comes to QB depth. Kelly won’t start the year and one more impaired social media outburst and he will have the year off, which he might already. The writer of the article overlooked this. Dukes and Scott are easily the most unproven 1-2 in the league and no depth there as well.

I do wonder why more reporters aren’t picking up on this. The drop-off after Kelly is pretty huge in Toronto.
