Trevor Harris has a couple good years left. Tommy Stevens is the perfect short yardage ( 3rd string )QB . Which leaves us with what the hell to do with Jake Maier.
Winnipeg is gonna try to finangle a deal to get Dru Brown as Collaros’s back-up ( just my opinion ). Riders should fight like hell to kibosh that happening. Do any Roughrider faithful believe that Jake Maier will step in and have success in the event of a Trevor Harris injury? Riders need a reliable back-up ( 2nd string ) QB. Maier ain’t it.
Maybe Jack Coan , the Fighting Irish kid , should be given time to develope ? Could pan out. Nightmare scenario would be ….Harris long-term injury…….Maier is useless…….can Coan cut the mustard? Now what?………

I to hope for a return of the masses! 40 free agents…goodness. Who goes? An easy cut for me is Maier. We need a LOT of money to resign the likes of Emilus and Hardrick. I’m spending my money on the O-Line and keeping Harris clean. Get an affordable, young QB who may need to play a game or two. There really is no choice. Maier has to go and unfortunately possibly KSB. Great player. Always injured. He’s going to have to take a cut to stay in green.
