Mike Blum Passes Away

Former TiCat linebacker Mike Blum has died at the age of 65. He played 2 years for the Cats and was on the 72 Grey Cup Team.

He also played for the Argos and Ottawa during his career.

Condolences to his family.

Yet another loss of a former CFLer this year.

I remember Mike Blum well. He only played with Hamilton a short time, but had good years with Ottawa and Toronto before that. He had about a ten-year career as a solid Canadian linebacker. I'm glad he earned a Grey Cup ring for 1972 with the Cats.

Sympathies to his family.

sad news what a bad year to be a Former CFL Player

To me, guys like Blum epitomize the CFL. Not blessed with great talent, they still carved out good pro-football careers through hard work, effort and team play. Players like Mike Blum were and continue to be the cornerstone of the league.
