Gold stars to Herb on this one.

Already got my O.J. Brigance Brigade cap.

oops my bad. no herb on this one. wish those edit buttons lasted a little longer in this forum.

After Tony Proudfoot,Larry Uteck and OJ Brigance. Definitely a pattern with football players.

GO Mike GO.

Mike Soles had a great CIS player leading McGill to a Vanier. Played pro with Edmonton with his final years playing as a blocking back with Montreal. He had a hand in the rushing of Mike Pringle who had over 2000 yards in one season. Soles was also a good ST player and, was most effective in picking up screen passes. As a McGill grad, I was overjoyed with his play on the day McGill won the Vanier Cup. It is indeed sad to encounter great athletes become victims to ALS. Good article from Herb.I recognize your great courage Mike and wish you well. I'll never forget your contributions to McGill's only Vanier Cup.

I would only insert “great” before “blocking back”.

Best wishes to Mike.
