Miami's Wake reinvents himself

On the Steelers: Miami's Wake reinvents himself

Saturday, October 23, 2010 By Gerry Dulac, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

At 6-foot-3, 260 pounds, Wake, 28,

has more than found a home at outside
linebacker in the Dolphins' 3-4 defense

...He is tied for the NFL lead with six sacks after
registering three in last week's victory in Green Bay.

"I think everybody in the NFL knows who he is,"

said Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger...

"He's causing a huge stir and doing some great things."

"Cameron Wake is having a Pro Bowl-caliber year,"

said Steelers coach Mike Tomlin.

It's not really reinventing himself...It's more like finding a position to compliment his body type...

Up here,he's an effective DE because of his speed and size...

Down there he's really too small to play DE,but he's the right size in a 3-4 defence to Outside Linebacker...

I think that it's great that Wake is succeeding in the NFL as well as he is. It's obvious that BC is definitely missing his presence in their defense! I think it's safe to suggest that Wake won't be back in the CFL anytime soon! All the power to him...

I'm really happy for Cam. I saw a feature on him on NFl pre-game a while back and he had nothing but positive things to say about the CFL. He still wears his CFL flip-flops too. It's great to see that guys who dominate here can also do the same there.
