With NFC and AFL starting up soon, I thought I’d create separate threads for each league rather than mix them all together in one “semi-pro” thread.

Here’s this week’s MFL games:
We’ve got 1v2, 3v4, and 5v6.

From the Moncton Mustangs FB:
With about 10min left in the game the game was called due to a medical situation.
Mustangs win 49-21
Good on the Mustangs for grabbing #1 overall. Hope that medical situation gets resolved safely.
I see Monctonian Bailey Feltmate scored a TD for the Ti-Cats today. They moved him from Linebacker to Full Back.
Marquee match up:
And another game:
And I think the two 0-4 teams, PEI and Valley are supposed to play.
Went directly from the old Halifax Buccaneers to the CFL in the early 1970’s. Great player.
Mike Miller is a former Moncton Mustang.
CFL West All-Star2019 & 2021
Do you know if MFL teams have ever played against Ontario or Alberta (or other provinces’ senior league teams)?
I’m thinking Moncton could give just about any team in the country a run for their money.
I seem to remember a US College from Maine playing in the Maritimes maybe 10 years ago. That might have been against the AFL. The Mustangs had a junior team in the AFL.
I don’t recall other Canadian senior teams playing in the Maritimes but it could have happened.
Likely played US rules. Would have been a different story if they played Canadian rules. Holland College had former CFLer and Olympian Jay Dearborn. Also had former CFLer Kay Okafor the year before.
Says Maine Maritime college played other Canadian teams. Wouldn’t surprise me if they did play the Jr. Mustangs.
I guess there is at least one more game. This will be for #2 overall and the right to host a playoff game.
Also, PEI is slated to play Fredericton.
The results from this weekend and the upcoming playoff sched.
Apparently Rogers is broadcasting this game on one of their channels.
