How about MBT to Hamilton ? Iām sure he is till hoping to get another shot at NFL but Ticats need help at QB with all due respect to Mitchell and Schiltz but if MBT wins the Grey Cup for Hamilton, that would certainly mean a lot for him

The Argos are an exciting team. Good defence, two headed monsters at running back, and a QB who I think is just a matter of time before he is the best in the league, unfortunately he wonāt be around for long

I donāt think heās coming back. But if the ARgos have his rights I think they would trade him to a West team, maybe Edmonton.

Heās a Grey Cup winnerā¦and I assume heās apparently available. I doubt the USFL goes beyond a one year contract.

If MacBeth comes back to the CFL itāll be because he wants to. He doesnāt need the money. His wife has a superstar salary with Disney and they finally bought those new fur lined sinks theyāve always wanted. Itās the classic āAmerican-who-played-in-the-CFL-and-the-USFL-but-got-rich-anyway-dreamā.

Itās his swan song and good for him and his family, but that hub league is trash and does not work. They should fix that first. Heāll be okay with staying the course otherwise and maybe move to the XFL depending on what changes or not.

I doubt if MBT will be back especially with Kelly playing so well. Who knows maybe later in the season if Kelly happens to get dinged McLeod would come back to help out his old team. He might get another NFL shot if some team runs into a rash of QB injuries. But right now if I was running the Argos I would be flying him in for each game just to be the short yardage QB.
I would keep in contact with him, because if Kelly keeps improving he will not be here next year
Well I would let next year take care of itself. But the Argos have a good chance to repeat as GC Champs this year. IMO However having Cameron Dukes of Hazzard being the short yardage QB is going to come back to bite them. If all else fails I would look at doing what the Chicago Bears did years ago. Find themselves a āFridgeā to be the short yardage fullback. Somebody like Brinkman maybe. You have to think outside the box once in awhile.
Iām sure teams including Hamilton have been calling MBT and he is a free agent. But he did say he would only come back to the CFL with the Argos. Interesting that his USFL team did release him which could open up a return to the CFL. I donāt believe he needed that to sign with a NFL team.

I do not understand his release since he had a good season with his team.
Argos better keep in touch with him, because Kelly is gone after this season.
McLeod Bethel Thompson where are you. Looks like what many Argo fans have feared has happened. Hope Chad Kelley isnt out to long or I can see a losing streak coming if he is. I thought in the pre-season games Scott was the better passer but they went with Dukes probably because he is the better runner. However, with a 6 point lead in the standings maybe Dinwiddie and Cory Mace werenāt all that upset with this loss going to their buddies in Calgary. The Argos have a lot of depth on this roster except at QB as we all know. I canāt think of another available QB out there with any CFL experience except MBT. So hopefully he will answer the call.

You might also wanna write a nice letter to MBTās wife. Outside of Kelly, sheās the main reason MacBeth went elsewhere this season.

MBTās new ājobā as an executive with Disney brought waaaaay more dough into their happy household than MacBethās income with the Argos. Since the money no longer mattered as much it made more sense to him to play ācloser to homeā. He and the wife are now able to spend more time together.
So any appeal to MBT to return to the Argos would have to get past the Ball and Chain.
