A (what I think) is a neat promo video the Ti-Cats released on this May the 4th. (You may get a season ticket Genie ad before you get to the video I'm actually talking about at this link.)http://www.ticats.ca/video/index/id/109 ... start/true
JUST FOR PARKING AT BC PLACE IS 25 BUCKS
Average cost to park a car at an NFL stadium is $32, in Boston a car is $40 and an RV is $150 (no camping, just parking for the game). Average cost for a family of four to attend an NFL game with just general admission tickets is $476.
Parking around THF is "free" - just drive to within a couple of blocks and street park. Or you can find dozens of private lots on business premises where they charge $10, or on private property for $10.
There's $10 parking all around the skydome as well..all within a 10 minute walk, and if it's a night game, there is a huge lot around Front and Yonge (on the Esplanade) where it is a $5 flat rate from 6pm to 7am.
My go-to parking lot whenever I go to Air Canada Centre or Rogers Centre events.
Best deal in the downtown area. :rockin:
And for THF, that private property parking is part of the charm of having the stadium in a residential area.
I parked directly across the street from Ivor Wynne a couple of years ago for the last Labour Day Classic there.
$10. Incredible! Literally across the street from the stadium.
The guy who charged me for the spot on the home's front lawn said the owner was an old woman who paid her property taxes with the money she collected from parking at Tiger-cat games. 8)
It is kinda charming!
I grew there & never thought of it like that before, but I do now.
In keeping with the Star Wars theme for the title of this thread, I will point out that today is Revenge of the Sixth.
(No, I can't take credit for that one. Read it somewhere on Monday.)
