Just read on Stamps.com that Matt Walter has been released. Not a huge surprise, but who are they looking to back up Messam? I would have thought they'd want a National for depth behind Messam if for no other reason.
Maybe I didn't see Walter play as much as a Stamps fan would, but to me when he was in it seems like he could be a starter on a team with a need at RB, seemed like a hard runner... I wouldn't mind the Esks picking him up to back up John White (who I think may be an elite RB by the end of this coming season barring injury).
