Sorry that I am a little later than anticipated in posting the pool thread, but it is now up with this post. As always the pool is open to everyone. As always I am sure some of you will make your posts very soon, but others may forget or not be immediately aware. I will ping past participants in this and other pools tonight to remind them, but don’t wait for that.
The rules are copied below from the 2023 thread:
Most importantly, all you have to do is post the 5 players you think will do the best by midnight Pacific time on Wednesday as the tourny starts on Thursday. By far the easiest forum pool which requires almost none of your time. It also makes the tournament much more interesting for those watching and following. Just imagine the endless joy, laurels and admiration you could obtain by entering the forum circle of champions or improving your standing if you are already a member of that elite club.
This is the 15th hole. The picture is a great example of the elevation changes at Augusta National, one of the more up and down courses in the world.
Please also note that there are two Masters threads. This one is intended for pool picks only and some minimal discussion of standings after each day and of coutrse after the final round. It becomes more difficult to sort the picks and the standings, which will be posted after each round weather permitting, if this thread become littered with general Masters chit chat so please post any Masters related comments other than your picks to the general Masters thread which I have linked below:
I am pinging the following people who have either participated in this pool or others in the past and inviting them to enter the pool. This pool is the simplest of all site pools and can take as little as 5 minutes of your time. Pick 5 players and then sit back and do nothing. Despite this invite anyone is welcome to participate if they are interested. If you aren’t interested there is no need to reply, but if you are go ahead and pick your 5 players by Wednesday at midnight. The rules are linked in the first post in this thread.

Have not been watching any Golf at all for the past 5 years, so I got no clues at all
That’s the beauty of the pool. You don’t have to be a golf expert to do well and one golf tournament is far less predictable than the other sports pools. I can almost guarantee there will be a player contending out of nowhere that few or none of us pick.
Jon, I’ll also pass like WeGotTheCup and yes, thanks for the invite as well.
At the present, I’m not following golf that much to be honest, I’d like to see the pro golf business and operational situation sort itself out. Which eventually I’m sure will happen. Until then I’m finding my enjoyment of watching pro golf just isn’t there.
I see things as do you here, but in the meantime, I will by contrast participate and examine my choices for the pool later today into tomorrow as the Masters’ music plays in the background.
Speaking of picks, I shall post later this morning in the general thread the orientation video, for as you well know, we are of course playing by strict rules.
