Since the tournament draws near and there are already some posts on it, I’ll start the annual thread a wee bit early. I will post the pool thread by this weekend. Should be great as always.
Below is a detailed breakdown of Masters coverage on TSN. I expect the coverage will be similar in the US but don’t have the info handy so if anyone knows it feel free to post it.
In the US, all TV coverage is simulcast directly on the Masters’ website (not sure if accessible from Canada or worldwide as well) and on the Masters’ app.
Otherwise as summarized above on the Masters’ website, ESPN has live coverage on Thursday and Friday and CBS on Saturday and Sunday have their time slots, and there is some earlier live coverage before the CBS coverage on Paramount+.
When you are in your vehicle and you have either the Masters’ app or Sirius XM Channel 92 (not sure if also in Canada), live coverage is all day long!
It will be great to hear the Masters’ music and to see Jim Nantz of CBS and Mr. Beaver and if they can find him in the woods, @Maaax , all again next week too.
I have tsn+ so I’m hoping they have some additional coverage, like following certain foursomes or staying on a particular hole. While I lie on my couch because it’s still winter outside.
They do have extra coverage. Check the TSN post. It has a detailed schedule.
Another Masters article from Bob Weeks:
Here’s a good article out last week about broadcasting and Masters legend Jim Nantz, also a CFL fan and our CFL Forum friend, who had retired from announcing March Madness in 2023.
After seeing his Houston Cougars win on Saturday and being brought to tears, tonight he is going to the final as a fan of his alma mater, only to have his preferred and new routine to head to Augusta National disrupted, and now to have to fly out early tomorrow Tuesday morning just like when he was working and after his hot burnt toast breakfast, of course.
“A Tradition Unlike Any Other. The Masters. On CBS.”
Oh well, Jim will tough it out again folks, no worries.
Just because it’s Jim Nantz, Go Cougars!
The studio crew on CBS were on his case on Saturday about the whole ordeal too.
Here was Jim at his first Masters back in 1986, which apparently was also the year he started shaving, but he only had to shave about once per quarter in those days.
The Masters Pool thread is now up and running and linked below. make your picks before Wednesday at midnight.
I downloaded these amazing pictures from the Masters website this morning, all taken in the last few days. I doubt there can be an argument that Augusta National isn’t the most spectacular location in the world for a sporting event.
In order these are 16, 12, 13, 15 and 18.
Here are some more (5 is the most allowed per post apparently):
In order these are 10, 12, 15, the par 3 course and the clubhouse.
Good morning everybody.
To go with those fine pictures that Jon linked above, and to help you get in the proper spirit for spring and also when making your picks for the pool, here is the Masters’ music.

Excuse me, excuse me, good morning everybody, please continue your shopping in the CFL Forum pro shop as you make your picks, for we only need a few seconds of your attention please.
Of course as we are playing by strict rules in the CFL Forum Masters Pool, we are happy to share the following helpful resource.
Don’t get any bright ideas like Goldfinger either, or we’ll be onto you too and will not be amused.
Thank you again for your attention, and thank you in advance for your cooperation.
An interview with Corey Conners whom most experts believe has the best chance of contending of any Canadian at the Masters:
Not sure everyone is on board with multiple wife beater Angel Cabrera back at the Masters. Adam Scott is. I used to like this guy back in the day, but what he has done since isn’t cool.

If you are at work and near a screen on Thursday and on Friday, here’s how you can easily watch also when not using your phone.
There’s also live coverage all day on Masters.com , including of many of our picks in each featured group.
It would be interesting to hear which of these options also work in Canada and anywhere else outside of the US, so please do share about your experience.
I’ll be following most of the action from work myself on a Windows PC.
I tend to PVR it and then watch what I can in the evening.
Here is another look at and rating of the field:
