Question #1 - What (if anything) is he going to do about the dismal officiating and instant-replay gaffs this season?
i watched my first NFL game on sunday ( pats and colts ) and the officiating was just as bad.
pass interference on the offence SHOULDA been called against the colts, instead called against the pats when the defender was clearly going for an INT and didnt touch the colts receiver...then later an offensive pass interference call on randy moss, when he didnt touch anyone...what a joke.
bad officiating exists in every league.
altho, i wish the CFL refs wouldnt flag so often.

A good interview with the Commish. He's quite a smooth talker. lol
But I like him and he seems to have the league on an upward track. Just wish Ottawa and QC could get teams going in a couple of years. From what I heard Ottawa could be 2010 now depending on stadium availability.
The question of making room on the rosters for a Canadian QB came up. Mike and Mark seemed to think it wouldn't work because there isn't enough good QB's to stock the existing teams. That's quite obvious but if the rules were changed from having designated QB's to just 20 Candians and 22 imports we would see some Canadian QB's start to surface as backups and then eventually get some playing time as they develop. If the rules hadn't been changed we would see players like Tommy Dennison still in the league now. Players like him could play probably at least 10 years so every team wouldn't need a new QB every year. That way it would have evened out. It doubtful we will ever see that QB rule change but some of these 3rd string QB's the teams bring in aren't that good (BC excepted) so why not develop the Canadian kids.
The Commish said they want to put the best product on the field...uh Mark...if that's the case we all know how to do that, and a lot of true CFL fans don't want to go there.

He has to watch how he words this kind of stuff as he could find himself in some hot water with contradictions all over the place.
