... signed today....These guys are fast..... .Richardson can really cover a lot of ground ......a smaller type d.b. but he could make us forget about Kari-2...in a hurry....although he is an import......Madise...now this guy intrigues me....he comes to the Bombers with a pretty good rep. as a speey receiver.......but then again so did Sutherland of last year....and he didn't pan out ....so we'll see what he's got at t.c......apparently Richardson is a friend of Gavin Walls....and if he is as talented .....we have a winner.. :arrow:
its certainly nice to see that we will have a few options to choose from at various positions now..........in fact we are starting to get some depth.......
...right on PIGSEYE.....if we can continue to build the d....which in my opinion was by far the most important to re-tool...we have a pretty decent squad....Wonder where we will be playing...east or west.....if its east....that means the rens. are done.....and we could pick something up in the dispersal....which would add to the strength we have garnered so far...I guess we'll see in about three wks...Banks would look good in Blue and Gold... 
I would have to think it is going to be a long shot to save the gades now..........which means a dispersal draft is looking more and more likely.........tough pick on who to take.......Banks, Hebert, Joseph or how about an olineman, Khan, St Germaine (wonder if he is related to Ray).......
you guys are completely forgetting about Jason Armstead, he was an all star reciever last year with like 1300-1400 yards and a dangerous kick returner. him and AJ lll would look amazing back there returning, Toronto and the Bombers would have the two most dangerous special teams in the league, i think we'd come out on top, This guy is a play maker that could turn games around for us, i definately say go for Banks first, but Hamilton gets to pick first in the Draft and they may pick Banks up. if they do i personaly say go for armstead. Hebert is a good linebacker but i think our linebacking corps, is awsome with woodson wickman and simpson. plus hebert has a MASSIVE contract, super long term and expensive, which may prevent other teams from grabbing him, so he has a very small chance of being available the second time around which is alot more then Banks, Armstead or Joseph, and if he is available we should grab him because he's a great linbacker plus amazing on special teams, led the league in 05 for special teams tackles. if we could get him and armstead.... our special teams would be killin. Hebert teamed up with Mckinlay and Gallant would be amazing. but as for Josepgh i dont think we need him. i may be taking a chance at saying this but we have Berry to work on our young QB's and possibly turn Glenn into a 5 000 yrad QB. especially with our offensive line and weapons. if we get armstead that only makes things better for him. plus now we have Quinn whom im very confident in. Berry knows his stuff and if he says Quinn can adapt well and fast and if Berry likes Quinn, he's obviously good. apparently he has a good arm to. however if we let saskatchew grab Joseph and they get Thurmon back they would be a huge threat.
Armstead had a great season and would definitely help but realistically I think we have to squeeze a NI into the receiving crew, I like Colon over Stoddard but he hasnt signed yet...........and defence should be our first priority, big contract or not, banks or hebert are both solid and the best the gades have on defence.........dont forget contracts are not guaranteed in the CFL, so you can play a guy with a big contract for a year and if he is not worth it release him and owe nothing.........
...Dispersal draft sure isn't a common occurence...but IF it happens....does anyone know the ground rules for such a draft.....What I.m referring to is......1. Does a player claimed ...have to stay with the club that chose him and be re-signed to another contract...2.IF the rens. reactivate in 07 ...will those players revert back to the original club.....or will they get compensation if the player dosen't return....Just some questions I don't quite know the answers to...does anyone know on the board what happens and do you have anymore in-sight into this dispersal draft IF it happens... :?:
i totally agree, we must sign colon. i said it before and ill say it again, this guy has good speed and great hands…he grabs everything. i think if giving the chance he could be a canadian 1 000 yard reciever. we need to get him back.
....Colon would be nice to get back..an ni.......but Armstead would be a nice pick off of the rens....but I don't know how that would affect our import...non-import ratio....Goodspeed is also another guy that isn't signed...o lineman of his caliber are hard to come by....however...there is a Canadian o lineman on the rens. that could be considered as a pick...I believe his name is Karhi....young and a lot of potential..I hope we start getting things finalized soon....t.c. ain't that far off...go Big Blue :arrow:
Goodspeeds still under contract isnt he? thats what i read in the sun anywase, he wanted to be traded because he only got a 17 000 dollar raise.
we'll see what happens. i just think it would be quite awsome to have armstead because hes a 1300 reciever and dangerous on returns.
...yeah you're right 123James....he's still under contract...but it looks like he wants to pull an Orlando Bobo...Ricky Bell TRICK....and have his contract rejigged now...Taman ain;t going to go down that road....so we might end up one good 'o' lineman short.....I hate it when players pull this type of crap....Goodspeed either wants to be a Bomber or he can hit the road...his loss....The Bombers will let him sit and his career will end up like Bobos....nowhere....Colon needs to re-up with us...and prove he can post good nos. and stay healthy....THEN he can ask for more money...and have the stats. to command a better contract....NOT BEFORE.... :arrow:

geez I forgot about madise and coleman.......these guys may be good enough to force us into 4 imports at receiver........we also have some young canadian talent in rempel and the other guy.......we should pass on armstead and try to grab a NI olineman like khan or st germaine.......that would help with the ratio....after of course we grab banks or hebert, we cant pass up one of them.......

....I liked the looks of Hebert last year.....but since his little incident with the law... I don't know .....some teams are going to pass on him.....Maybe he would be a good to acquire him and then package him up in a trade ....I think this Khan guy would be a player to pursue....maybe we will have to fill Goodspeeds position on the o line ..if he dosen't return...and this young Khan could be a real asset...also an NI .....I still think we need to up-grade the secondary....Banks would be more than adequate back there....Bombers are probably putting together all kinds of scenarios IF this dispersal draft happens....anyway you look at it .....we are going to see another solid addition to the team.....and you got to like that.....I just hope they pick the right people ...and that includes attitude as well as talent... :!:
good to see were filling the voids left by that KK fiasco, I fell really good about Winnipegs chances this season.
and if Ottawa supends, well get a another shot in the arm, maybe even Jopesh will come over to play starter for us (he can replace Tee Martin).
still like to see KJ come back to the Bombers, but we'll be fine w/o him.
