8) According to CHML this morning, Jesse Lumsden is expected to return to the TiCats sometime this week !!!! I wouldn't be surprised to see him suit up against the Argos on Saturday !!! It shouldn't take him long to get a grasp of this offence !!!!
It figures, get a guy who is bummed out because he did not make it in the NFL his second try. Where do you think his head is going to be. Certainly not in this game, it will always be down south. Until he makes a committment to the CFL he can stay away. This is purley a marketing tool to save face for the rest of the season. Which is all this team seems to do right, marketing, they seem to forget there is a football team too.

You know where his head will be at, do you? What do you want from this guy, a personal apology?
When he rejoins the team I expect his head will the in the game, to the same extent it is for any other player disappointed at being cut from an NFL squad a few days earlier.
As has been said many times before, he is not the first kid in this league to chase an NFL dream and fail - the league is full of them.
If you were GM, would you only sign guys that weren't good enough to have been invited to an NFL camp?
sorry to burst you bubble pal but every cfl player has nfl aspirations. those are players that play as hard as they can and hopefully get rewarded with a shot to make an nfl team and play on the grandest stage. thats what competitors do and want. those who dont have nfl aspriations have accepted that fact that they are not wanted down there or are not good enough to make it. either way you would be hard pressed to find a player to turn down a shot at an nfl camp.
Thank you Ron. This is exactly what I mean. Section8, I don't want a player who still pines for the NFL. Whether he be a home boy or not. Until Jesse makes a committment to this team, why get excited. All that I have seen from this team in the last 3 years is marketing. I have never in all my years seen a team where it's football operations are THE LAUGHING STOCK OF THE CFL. That hurts, and to have a player who has already left us would be cruel to those ticket holders and fans who would be excited for his play, but knowing the player has no desire to stay. I would love to see Jesse here. But I don't want to feel like castoff cause he has no where else to go.
This is true, but at some point a player also has to make a decision and make a committment. That is what I want to see from Jesse this time around. Something to give us hope that a quality player like him can be here long enough to work an offence around him build pride into a team.
Doug Flutie made a committment to the CFL and then tried again in the NFL. He didn't bounce back and forth like a ping pong ball. I commend those who have aspirations for the NFL, but not play us just cause we can keep him in game shape.
They donβt even work an offence around our quarter backs. Why start now. It has been like that for years with this team. Explain why we can have quarterbacks like Damon Allen, Dieter Brock, Tom Clements, shall I go on. AND all of these quarter backs have been run out of town. Why, because there was no offence worked around them.
Since there is no passing game it is only logical to work a running game. Somethings gotta a give.
thats very selfish of you. im sure jesse must feel obiligated to give up his nfl dream so you dont feel like a cast off. geez theres gotta be a happy medium here. yes the guy is over hyped but he is a good guy and wants to fufill his dream. the only difference between him and the rest of the canadians in the cfl was he got a invite to a nfl camp that every sane person would take. he didnt make the team period. not because of politics or anything other then he was a little over his head. now he is coming back to hamilton. im blown away from that selfish immature uninformed post
