loud annoying stadium music!

Does complaining about the anthem singer count in that 24 hour rule Ryan? Otherwise no complaints from me - even after 24 hours passes.

Haha. I was thinking about that but we can definitely make an exception for the anthem.

I can't give my opinion about yesterday's game because I wasn't there, but the games at Ivor Wynne for the last 20 years have been too loud and played at the wrong times. Music should only be heard during commercials and time outs, any other time is just wrong and if you have to yell at the person next to you to have a conversation, then the music needs to be lowered.

Our seats have moved one section over, from Upper West side middle of section 204 to Upper West side middle of 205, so I can’t make an apples to apples comparison, but the sound levels were MUCH improved.

I can’t say whether it does change from section to section, but my section is at a good level. Hopefully 204 was changed as well, as that was really unbearable.

I didn’t find this to be an issue, but my girlfriend thought there was a delay between out side and the east side, but not sure if that was really the case. Technically the sound would take a little longer to reach us…

Overall a good time, very happy with our seats!

Funny Thread for me!

My Sister called me last night (she was at the game with my folks) when they were playing "One more Time" by Daft Punk, One of my favorite songs.......

Except I couldn't hear the song being played over the phone, as my sister held up her phone to one of the speakers so I could hear the song

GOSH DARNIT I HATE WHEN PEOPLE TRY AND PLAY ME SONGS @ THF OVER THEIR PHONE FROM THE THF SOUND SYSTEM AND I CAN'T HEAR THE SONG  :expressionless: :thdn:  :x :stuck_out_tongue:

LOL !!!! Your sister's seats must have been on the EAST side

HAHA Yes they were! My Dad is a Proud Hamilton East Ender and sits on the east side accordingly

some people go for the game, not the music. imagine that

I’m at least 10 years older than you. Congratulations, you’re 50.

And who are you to tell anyone to stay home!!!

Not sure you noticed, IT’S A FOOTBALL GAME!!!

If YOU need the music that loud, YOU can go to a rock concert. Most of the rest of us are not there to be deafened.

If YOU don’t like that…YOU can stay home…

I totally agree, this is a football game, not a rock concert, I think music played during commercial time outs and at a moderate level is fine, but music should be a very small part of the game.

Such has been the trend at all sporting events the last 20 years. Its not going to change.

Yup that's true. At Leafs, Raptors or World Junior games I've gone to at the ACC it is at least as loud as it is in most seating areas at THF.

To be fair to those complaining though - for most games last year I was on the east side - and the music was loud - but not ridiculously so. For the EDF I was on the upper west side - and it was painful on the ears loud at times - where I actually found myself covering my ears with my hand a few times - it was THAT LOUD.

So as long as that over the top loudness is addressed - this 55 year old is OK with it.

I think it has gotten better in that it's not as omnipresent as it used to be, but now I find I look forward to the talking to give me a break. Its still a bit more than it needs to be.

I was sitting in the upper west section for east final last season and the only thing that saved my ears was the noise cancelling earphones.

I have no problem with the music per se, except when it interferes with our offense.

But when it gets ridiculously loud, I fear for mine and my family’s hearing.

When it becomes a HEALTH issue, as this could be, then something NEEDS to be done.

If its a health issue to you, notify the ticats front office. If they feel liable they’ll correct it right away for fear of a lawsuit.

BINGO! Upper west side.

This.

and to think, some people bring toddlers and babies to the games.

Ah gone are the old days of the Ivor Wynne sound system that had that unique sound like someone dropped a microphone in a Toilet Bowl? That crackle over the speakers that seemed to last forever or No sound at all when the retired guy sang O Canada, mind you it sounded better off.

Fans from every part of the CFL complained about that system, especially local fans who said the music was too loud or not loud enough, or they couldn't hear anything?

Now we have a state of the art system at THF we have been transported through the star gate of the CFL from the past to the present and yet people still complain that the sound is too much, too electrifying, too much energy well it's a football game not an opera, if you want something softer go to an Argo game in Toronto, this is Hamilton home of the Tiger-Cats, where the fans are loud and proud!!!

GO CATS GO!!!

welcome to (_______) stadium, where the announcers and most of the fans don't know if they are at a football game or a rock concert
