Lou Ferrigno

No, I have nothing in terms of my personal memory about his short time in the CFL but I really liked his time on TV as the Incredible Hulk. Found this on the web:

At first he tried football and was recruited by the CFL. "My father wanted me to play football and though I'm a fan of football, I didn't want to play. I tried out for the New York Jets and they said I needed experience, so they flew me to Toronto to play Canadian football. I played offensive linebacker, right of centre. I remember I went to the coach, I said to him, 'I don't like hitting people.' He said, 'Hey son, go back to bodybuilding, be a champion again.' So I took his advice. I stayed there for like a month -- but it was a very highly skillful game, so was happy to come back with no major injury."

Maybe they cut him because he thought there was a position called offensive linebacker.

What ever you do, don't make him angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry

Apparently Lou "Incredible Hulk" Ferrigno did play 2 pre-season games for the Argos before being released, as far as I can tell he never played a regular season game though. I'm not sure exactly the time frame but I think it was in the mid 70's maybe "74"or "75" ?

Here is a gem I found though , it's indeed Lou Ferrigno at either T.Camp or at a regular practice with the Argos.Judging by the short shorts I'd say that it had to be the 70's. 8)

Bobo82, vous être le champion de l'image!

Lou pre-steroid looked like a macho version of Wally Buono

Maybe his chances of making the team would have improved if he’d actually worn the pads like the other guys.

LOL !!! They could be long lost brothers, switched at birth. :cowboy:
