Article about Lonie Glieberman in which he professes his love for the CFL, looks back at his time in the CFL, and most importantly his endorsement of the potential Hunt ownership . Interesting to hear him talk about the poor state of the stadium 17 years ago and his poor lease agreement with the city of Ottawa's and the city's decision to build a baseball stadium rather than fixing Frank Clair.

Good read, thanks East. I guess baseball was all the craze after the Blue Jays world series wins and playing in what people thought was the perfect baseball stadium. Wow, have times changed. I guess Ottawa made a decision it was better to spend the $17 mill on a baseball stadium, what can you do.

Thanks for the article.
It was a good read.

I've long had a feeling that Lonie Glieberman wasn't a bad guy. He obviously wasn't/isn't up to the task of managing or marketing a CFL team. I think the media initially turned on him because he was a rich man's son who was being given opportunities and a lifestyle he had done nothing to earn, and some were jealous of that. The cheerleaders and partying didn't help his cause.

May have been a nice guy with some stupid ideas, but there is no doubt neither him or dad had a clue about running a football team.
Good riddence.

Indeed. The only thing I ask myself in regards to this article is why anyone bothered to check in with him. Don Brennan is such a shill for this guy, it’s mind-boggling.

I love this part; “Either vehemently disagree with or understand and appreciate the methods and intentions of he and his dad Bernie…”

Like there’s much question where the majority of the population lie. There probably aren’t enough people who “appreciate his methods” to fill a Smart car.
