No coach is perfect, they have all made bad decisions… just it cost Higgins his job as Edmonton head coach… he could try it again , and maybe it will be successful… then again maybe not… I will give him credit for at least trying that play, but most coaches would have chosen the safe option and punted on 3rd down deep in your own zone… and our thanks to Higgins for giving us that game…

The only good thing about this play is that this didn't come at the end of a playoff game. Imagine ending your season like that... Bombers have the esks number this season, good game. I'm not all that upset about this, as the esks surely didn't play well enough at any point in the game to convince anyone that they deserved the win. The only thing that hurts is that they basically had it wrapped up. Either the schemes or coaching staff of the eskimos has to be changed. The team has all the personnel necessary to be a deadly force on offence, but it's macicocca idiotic play-calling that is leading to the downfall of this team, IMO.
And it didn't really go quite after that play, everyone just started booing really loudly. Then there was this old guy in a wheel chair in the main concourse swearing his mouth off.

Well Sambo every day you learn something new ( except some bomber fans ). But the coaching mistake last night was by far the worst I have seen for a long time. I have never seen a team blitz on the last play of the game while knowing the other team is going to throw a hail mary pass! That has to rate much higher then the Higgens blunder. Really the Higgens play had much more chance of success then that of last nights blunder.
If I am not mistaken the Eskies do this every year they have a lull in their play and pick it up late in the season. Again never count these guys out!

Unbelievable is all that I can say about that last play.
I am not sure if anyone mentioned but why on earth and I did see the teams lining up on that last play. The Esks had four down lineman and I believe two linebackers either on the line and or directly behind the hogs. Why I ask would you not have three(the required number) only and everyone else just like we used to have it in the playground way back, with at least three guys being the deep men so that no one could obviously take you long.

Brutal how in this day and age as good as the play was for the BB that this could happen.
