I found it distressing that the Board of Governors for the CFL met in Las Vegas. The CFL should be meeting in Canada, not a nice warm vacation spot.
I have been a season ticket holder for 44 years and would be much happier if the business of the CFL was conducted in our country!
Let's keep it Canadian and in Canada.
So far it is an issue to one person - we're doomed.
There was another thread about this too, but honestly. If I had the option to have my meeting in Vegas instead of Canada in the winter, I'd take it too. Flying between Vancouver and Vegas is cheaper than flying between Vancouver and Toronto, significantly. Vegas is a convention town, so meeting space is plentiful and well equipped. No chance of being snowed in once you get there. Plus, lots of things to do for "team building".
The meeting location isn't a big deal to me no matter where they have it, but there's reasons why Vegas is a decent choice.
And that's aside from "because if Bob Young wants to hit the tables at the end of the season and meetings, he's probably earned it."
I know that a lot of the Canadian unions hold their annual conferences in Vegas. Vegas specializes in conferences and it's cheap to hold conferences/meetings there and the hotel deals are cheap too.
