Lions sign quarterback Jake Dolegala

VANCOUVER — The quarterback room in Vancouver is starting to take shape.

The BC Lions announced on Wednesday the signing of American quarterback Jake Dolegala to a one-year contract.

Glad he got signed.
Not glad it was there. Anywhere else, and I could have continued to cheer for him. :smiley:

Prukop and now this guy. Lions need a quality backup to the iffy VA. Neither of these journeymen qualify.

Yeah, he got caught in an offence designed for Harris and without a between the tackles run game last year. I thought he acquitted himself well on the field as it didn’t matter how many points the offence scored when the defence played like they did.

It will be interesting to see how he does in BC.

Last season Jake Dolegala threw 333 passes and completed 216 of them for 2641 yards, 11 TD’s and 9 Interceptions. He had a 65% completion rate despite running for his life behind that banged up offensive line in Regina which is not too shabby for a backup in my books.

He’ll look even better in BC if he gets the opportunity to fill in for VA.
