No surprise there, I guess Riders fans will be demanding Dolegala goes to Sask

Nope!!

I don’t think so. The Rider’s decisions in the off season and in training camp indicate that the Rider brass thinks Patterson > Fine > Dolegala. Then they picked up Barriere ahead of Fine when Harris went on the 6 game. Dolegala’s not coming back to Saskatchewan.

How can one team spend over one third of it’s CAP on 2 players???

Do you mean the Lions? maybe they didn’t spend anywhere near the cap. They could’ve been $500k below it and therefore can pay Rourke and meet the cap and then another $250k through the marketing scheme

I guess that means we’ll see both Adams & Rourke taking handoffs.

The CFL player salary cap this year is over 5.5 million. I believe VA’s salary is less than $500 thousand. Rourke’s salary for the balance of this year is $250 thousand. That’s a total of about 13% of the cap not over 1/3rd.

Guess Jake was never “The Guy”

Signed,

Porky (Rick) Campbell

I can’t see Adams too happy about being number two, of course the team will say otherwise and but no doubt his agent is looking for interest from other teams

How dare you bring Math into this…

I agree. One time someone mentioned cursive. It just about shut down Wiki and google in Winnipeg.

Dolegala just never clicked during the last three seasons. He wasn’t aweful, but he isn’t the general to lead the troops into battle that a QB needs to be.

Now that all nine teams have decent QBs in place, I suspect that his football days have come to a close.

Still could be a backup somewhere

Accurate comments. Let me put this ‘way out’ comment before you. Perhaps Winnipeg should take a shot (this year) at Jake Doe as their #3. Jake is known for his amazing throwing power, last time out in his BC start he was over-tossing his WR’s by 3 to 10 yds. In Wpg., especially with Kenny Lawler, Lucky & Wheatfall plus Ontario Smith, etc. he might be right on brand. Those big bomb tosses could be tracked down. Streveler is under powered and his side-angle throwing motion is not conducive to bomb-tossing. Zach used to be able to heave the pigskin 55 to 60+ yds but its no longer happening as he ages out. So why not Jake coming in as designated bomb-tosser.

I don’t think he’s #2. Rourke is #1 the next 2 years & being paid accordingly. He can bide his time if need be. BC will play the guy most likely to win the game for them. If Adams is healthy, IMO he’ll get playing time. You’ve got a 1 & 1A there.

Is Dolegala responsible for BC losing the last four games? No not all
Why did they lost to Edmonton?

456-271 Edmonton’s net yards of offence margin over BC

3-of-4 red zone percentage by Edmonton

35:39-24:21 time of possession in Edmonton’s favour

The defense could not stop the Elks. They gave up too many points, gave up too much yardage and Edmonton controlled the game. BC Lions have got serious issues on the defensive side of the Ball. Dolegala did not cause those issues. It is rather obvious it is easier to blame Dolegala than to face the real issues with the defense.

I hate to see Dolegala go honestly. He has unfortunately played on two teams who are incapable of stopping the opposing team. It happened with the Riders and now with the Lions. I hope some team picks him up.

He is not that bad a QB but he needed more playing time and was not going to get with the Lions. Now that Rourke washed out in the NFL he is back once again. No one can blame the Lions for bringing him back but where does that leave Dolegala? Well lets see if he ends up somewhere where he can get more playing time either in the CFL or the NFL.

You are making such great arguments for the past now even after starting your own thread and then hyping up Dolegala.

Good luck to Dolegala wherever he goes next.

I just think this guy has been thru the school of hard knocks. I hope he gets picked up somewhere.
