VANCOUVER — The BC Lions announced on Monday they have released eight players after their preseason matchup with the Calgary Stampeders on Saturday.

I don’t think it will be too long for Prukop to land somewhere. Argos would be my guess

Prukop is a great short yardage QB, second only to Streveler I would say. But as an actual QB? After watching him in Winnipeg I think it would be a challenge for him to beat out Arbuckle.

True he’s a good short yardage guy. It was somewhere we lacked last year. Dukes struggled in it early. If he becomes the starter, I’d like to see some depth with XP.

Mizzel did next to nothing last year. I doubt that Stanback could be much worse.

I think Prukop will have a job again after a few weeks and a couple guys are hurt.
