after Rourke its thin, so if he’s hurt then team is in trouble as we’ve seen. Masoli is done and should not see the field again. i like the guy but as a player he is doing nothing but wasting a roster spot that could be used to develop a younger arm. I see they brought back shrader.

new management and scouting has to wear the failure to adequately upgrade both the backup QB and offensive line (yea i know big fig’s injury was a blow).

I don’t understand why BC doesn’t pick up Cameron Dukes or Shea Patterson. They are both available. Neither is a star, but surely they’d be preferable to Masoli?

I was going to ask what you good galoots have to say for yourselves about all this early-season drama. But you are already on the case, of course.

Now should they cut Masoli and perhaps also add yet another younger quarterback and develop them both?
The line between injured and healthy is already quite thin early in a long season, after all.

i’d say maybe bring in Shea Patterson to back up Rourke. but yes, give Masoli a job as second assistant qb coach in training or something. not sure that Brice will ever develop more tho.

Brice hasn’t looked too bad in his limited play, but that’s only been in garbage time mostly. The jury is out for me on him until we see a bigger sample size. At the rate it’s going that may never happen.

they haven’t learned from Wally. he was good at recognizing when to let vets go when they’re time was up, and he was usually prepared with capable backup behind his number 1 QB .

Not sure what it is with the Lions. Back-up qbs are nearly invisible, until they are forced into the game. Remember Michael O’Connor’s stint in BC? He may as well have not been there. Rourke is the only back-up I can think of in recent memory they have developed themselves.

Printers. As much as we would like to forget him.
