I am very happy to see the Lions play some games in other centres in BC. I hope they will come to Kamloops some year as well. In fact, I have often suggested the Lions and Saskatchewan play one extra exhibition game involving only their rookies. Both are provincial teams, both have their training camps in centres other than where they normally play, both centres where they hold their training camps have solid fan suport and both have good stadia albeit a bit small. The game could alterante between Kamloops and Saskatoon. The fans in both cities deserve it.

Having had a look at the location one wonders why the Touchdown game was not played here.
Whatever though, getting islanders back to games would take more than just exposure. The price of getting to games from the island is pretty high.

The Riders and the Bombers use to have an extra preseason game in Saskatoon until the league told them to stop it.

Kind of too bad. Preseason is not the best football BUT I think its way better time to have games in other communities. Attendance is usually low so not much loss there.

Although I did like the Touchdown games for what they were, they really take teams out of their normal rhythm and it usually affects not just that game bit the following fame as well.

Might be some politics at play because the mayor of Victoria was a season ticket holder or Langford wasn’t willing to outbid Victoria.

Preseason are the games we should target for “out of market” games by every team.

Possibly. I would think playing at the home of Rugby Canada might figure in too. Especially with the success they have shown lately…

I agree with you however, I would add an NBA type in season tournament with one neutral site game added to the schedule. If an “out of market” city wants to bid on that game then I would allow it. Most people at CFL HQ are thankful I’m not in charge though lol.

How was it there weatherwise? Also how was the game lol.

I watched a quarter on CFL+ looked like a typical pre-season game, boring. The weather was cloudy cold around 10C

So it looked then pretty much how a regular season UFL game probably would’ve looked like then ?

Better attendance though
