VANCOUVER — The BC Lions listed quarterback Vernon Adams Jr. as questionable on their Tuesday injury report for their game on Thursday against the Edmonton Elks.
Yep. But Campbell said it’s better than a 50/50 chance that Vernon plays, so I’m not changing my pick … for now.
The Lions have enough talent to defeat the Elks with out VA. LB Dublanko’s late penalty is a perfect example of self destruct. And Vancouver’s attendance gives Lions an edge. Big Jake is the biggest QB in the CFL, and Qb Chase is also large. Only if Tre Ford gets in a few times to run wild, will the Elks have a little chance.
Well this makes a Lions fan sit up and take a little notice but…. Jake is the next man up as they always say so let’s hope he is worth the off season pickup.
Dolegala might be the tallest but I will bet Stevens from Calgary and Strevler from Winnipeg are better short yardage QBs and better runners.
Now, there will be some sleepless nights for those who yet to pick and those who picked already???
Nah. Vernon’s listed on the depth chart for the game. He’ll play.

The Elks don’t look that good but I expect they will make a game of it. We shall see

Dolegala is starting tonite?
If Dolegala starts, throws for over 500 yards, six touchdowns, no interceptions and wins the game for BC… you’ll have to promise NOT to explode. We don’t want to deal with the guilt, let alone the mess.
I am not saying anything. Jon is the one who said he is starting.

I read in several places that his coach said he is starting is all. I have no inside info, just taking him at his word.

Jon heard correctly. It’s the interpretation of what Jon said that wasn’t correct. If you watch the YouTube video of the coaches interview he (the Coach) indicated that it was 50/50 that Vernon would start but he (Rick Campbell) believed he (Vernon Adams Jr.) would start.
