Clearlythere is a conspiracy with officials to keep B.C. and Calgary alive by outrageous calls in both games by officials. :cowboy: What is it with such favouritism with the Leos and Stamps by league officials. Surely both teams would have lost had not the refs come to the rescue more times than James Bond, Superman, Mighty Mouse and Batman combined!!! I can't speak for the BC vs Eskies game, but I was at the Stamps game last night. The ref's are in Calgary's corner? They had more penalties for way more penalty yardage than the Argos did on the night. The Argos just never capitalized on their chances when they got deeper into Calgary territory. I guess botched snaps by the Argos and Kerry Joseph throwing the ball up for grabs numerous times is also the refs fault too! Just for this nonsense thread, I hope the Als smack the Riders tomorrow! Geez, what's up with the Rider nation since last year? You guys have certainly become major smack talkers moreso than ever I've noticed. Don't mind fans pulling for their home team, but maybe just because I live in Calgary and 20% are Sask immigrants here, I notice it's getting a more & more obnoxious when you guys come to town lately. If Montreal does not serve you some humble pie tomorrow, I know the Stamps will when the Riders come to town on the August long weekend!

There are more Rider fans accross Canada than any other team. Thats a given, according to news media. Why is it then, that there is so much animosity against that team. It's like those who are not on the bandwagon are extremly jealous of them. You can see it in these posts. Being that I was born in Calgary and grew up here I saw a team I really liked in the 60's and 70's. It was the riders and they became my team. You don't have to cheer for your home town team, cheer for the team you most admire.
I now live in Saskatchewan and love it here. Great hunting, fishing, football team. The people are in fact the friendliest I have meet accross the country.(Actually I have only lived in 5 provinces and never been to the maritimes so I cannot judge them.)

having the most fans does not make a team the best... for example, nickleback has the most music fans in Canada and they suck... soccer has the most fans in the werld, and i know what most people here think of soccer... the most popular beer in saskatchewan is pilsner... and well, thats like drinking toilet water... im happy the riders have a great fan base, but they still are aweful, just like many popular things. (did they sell out there first game this year, i dont remember. they must have, because of the huge fan base though) we talked a while ago about the stamps bandwagon this year in a thread. that was rad. when they lost the first two games, i got some more shoulder room on the wago, i hope all teams get a great fan base. i mean all the teams went through rough times... someone mentioned earlier about the telathon to save the stamps... argos went almost bankrupt a few years back... but i think its time to stop with the best fan base thing.
now the actual thread topic... the oficiating isnt near as bad as last year. the lions edmonton game was i felt fairly dirty... on both sides of the ball, and the refs let them play it out until the third quarter. last nights game, i fel tthe reffing seemed fine. it seems the argos need to control there agression a little, but the stamps has penalties for almost doubel yards then the argos. so forget this crap about refs chosing sides. theres no conspiricy... what about that awful call in the winipeg game against calgary that basicly cost a touchdown. or how about edmonton not getting called when buck went down? if the refs were pro BC, i think that would have got called(not saying it was a clean hit or not, just saying if the refs were bc bound, they would have callled a penalty).
